DOWNLOADING HINTS

First and most basic, if you are having problems downloading the files, allow the full page to load on your computer. Wait until the flashing bar at the bottom of the window is done, or the links will not work. Click once on the link to the file you want to download, and hopefully it will happen automatically.

WHAT FILES DO YOU NEED? Only one copy of the program file and one copy of the system file. You do not need to download the system file if you already have a copy of MSVBM50.DLL on your hard drive. You can check first before downloading or just go ahead and download both. If you put the DLL file (which is what you get when you unZip the VB5.ZIP file) in your Windows/System folder, it will support any other programs written in Visual Basic 5.

WHY IS THERE MORE THAN ONE FORM OF THE FILES ON THE PAGE? We offer the files you need in two forms: Zipped files which are compressed and smaller; and a .DLL file in uncompressed format. These are much larger and will take longer to download, but are provided for concerned about dealing with Zip files. You only need to download ONE system file.

The eZqual.ZIP file is very small, the download might happen so quickly you don't see it. Make sure you know the default location for downloaded files on your computer and search there if you think it hasn't downloaded. This Zip file is a self-extracting archive...it should unzip itself when you double click on the file. If you do not wish to unzip a file, you may RIGHT CLICK on the eZqual.EXE file and save it to your hard drive. This file is not compressed and does not need unzipping.

Your browser must be set up to properly download files with a single click on a link. In the Preferences you can select helper applications to open downloaded files automatically, such as identifying PKUnzip or WinZip as the application used to open files with the .ZIP extension. You can also set where to place downloaded files on your computer.

If your browser is not set up, you can still download files by clicking on the link with your RIGHT mouse button, and selecting "Save This File." You can then choose where on your hard drive to place the files, and manually unZip the file by double clicking on it. If you do not have PKUnzip on your PC, you can usually find it on the system disk that came with your PC. If it's not available, visit Ascent Solutions and download a shareware version of PKZip that will allow you to unzip any Zip file. WinZip is part of Windows and you should already have it on your computer.

PLEASE try all these hints before contacting us regarding downloading problems. We have tested and retested and are certain the files download without a hitch on properly configured browsers. We cannot troubleshoot "it won't work" messages, and we are not in the business of training people to configure their browsers. HOW MUCH DOES eZqual COST? Single user license is $50. One additional seat at the same site is $10. Further seats are $20 each.

WHAT ARE THE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS? eZqual will run on Windows95 and 98; it has not been thoroughly tested on Windows98 but should run without a problem.

I HAVE THE DEMO, HOW DO I GET THE FULL VERSION? The demo IS the full version, with the addition of the unlocking code, which we will send you once you download and register eZqual. Install and run the program to obtain the UserKey, which you send to us with your payment. We will return the unlocking code by email to let you continue to use all the great features of eZqual. Nothing more to download and install. The Help Menu gives full instructions on how to register.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure that the user key you send us is from the final target machine on which you wish to install the program. Each machine will have a different userkey, so you can DEMO the files on any machine, but please register only the actual machine(s) on which you wish to use the full program.
